To help sell your home there a quite a few things that you can do that does not cost the earth.
Start by de-cluttering the larger, more spacious a property looks the more a potential buyer will be impressed. Similarly, a lick of paint will do wonders (just leave enough time for any odour to dis-appear), keep to neutral colours and dont't forget the tiles - regrout or if a touch up is required grout pens can be bought from DIY stores. The aim is to make the house, look bright, fresh, clean and spacious but homely. Good idea to have some low lighting on when viewers are due as it gives a sense of home and warmth.
Outside is just as important as in if not more so. First impressions count and many people will drive by first to see what they think before arranging a viewing. Ensure that fences are in order, that any front garden is swept and no broken bikes or toys left lying around. A few flowers in the agrden will not go a miss - if you don't do gardening buy a couple of cheap pots and have some bright seasonal flowers in.
Remember what do you look for when you are buying, be objective and make small changes to your property to match.
